Is there one machine that fits everyone's striping needs?
No -
Each Company has different needs and wants. While one machine will work well for one
company, it will be lacking for another. Amount of use, type of paint that will be used, money
available to purchase a machine, type of parking areas that will be striped all need to be
considered when evaluating a pavement marking machine.
Do I really need to be trained by a professional Line Striper to start striping
parking lots?
Mistakes are costly-
One simple mistake can damage an entire parking lot. There are a few common mistakes
most new stripers make. Once the paint is down, it is permanent. There is no magic eraser,
once it is down it is down.
Is the training expensive?
The money saved by starting out right will easily cover the cost of the training. Buying the
right equipment from the start, not losing valuable customers due to rookie mistakes,
maintaining the equipment so it is not clogged and in the repair shop all the time. And having
access to a professional when questions arise on a job.
Is there a difference in Traffic Paints? And can't the paint store tell me what to
use?
There is a Huge difference in Traffic Paints!
There are many different types of traffic paints as well as many manufacturers of traffic paint.
Different types of paint are used for different types of parking surfaces. If the wrong paint is
used, it can flake off, discolor, or wear prematurely. If the paints are used in temps they are not
designed for, or mixed improperly, many quality issues can and usually do arise.
My experience has been paint stores have no hands on experience with traffic paints and get
their information from product data sheets.
Do I need to be good at Math to figure out parking design and radius
parking lines?
NO!
We will teach easy to use and understand methods for squairing up parking lots, and creating
perfect 90 degree, 60 degree, and 45 degree angles.
Trying to correctly layout spaces on a curved parking lot is a nightmare for beginners. It is
alway easy to tell when someone doesn't know how to properly lay it out, and end up
"eyeballing" it.
